Court Processing Technician II
Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is seeking to fill a vacancy of Court Processing Technician II. Work Schedule: This position is scheduled for 8 hours, 5 days a week, with 2 consecutive days off or 10 hours, 4 days a week, with 3 consecutive days off. There is a day shift and evening shift. This position is subject to a biannual seniority-based bidding process. You must be able to accommodate all shifts. Starting pay is $20.22 per hour. The background investigation process may take up to 6 weeks depending upon the complexity of the applicant's background and position for which they've applied.
Under the general direction of a supervisor, performs work of a responsible and routine nature related to processing warrants and arrestable writs, including responding to a large volume of requests for information regarding warrant and writ actions. Work processes involving exceptions and important departures from standard policies and procedures are reviewed with a supervisor for final decision. Work is reviewed through observation and results obtained. Shift work is required. This position does not supervise others.
- Reviews, verifies, and processes warrants and writs
- Generates reports, inputs and verifies data, prepares documents, recalls warrants, and verifies system removal of warrants and writs
- Receives funds and generates receipts
- Processes bond payments and monetary purges; verifies custody status of inmates
- Assists various law enforcement, court personnel, and the general public with questions in person, via phone, and/or written correspondence
- Generates correspondence to send to defendants
- Maintains records, files, reports and other written and statistical data pertinent to the assignment
- Regular and reliable attendance is required as an essential function of the position
- This position may be considered essential and, in the event of an emergency or natural disaster, may be required to report to work
- Participates in Sheriff's Office recruitment and community relations activities as directed
