Dispatcher Responsible for scheduling drivers to make freight deliveries and pickups, acting as a liaison between customers, drivers, and management. Tasks include route planning, traffic issue mitigation, documentation, record‑keeping, vendor and customer communications, and handling additional duties as requested.Essential Functions Schedule drivers for freight delivery or pickup of shipments and packages.Communicate with customers and vendors regarding freight details, pickup and drop‑off times, and special requests.Plan predetermined routes for drivers.Identify traffic problems and issues and create corrective action plans to achieve desired results on time.Prepare general dispatch documents for management and pull any documents needed by employees, customers, or vendors.Maintain a record of all dispatch calls, driver routes, route changes, and delivery/pick‑up times.Monitor truck repairs and maintenance schedules.Log vendor complaints or concerns.Answer phone calls from vendors, customers, and management and provide assistance as needed.Perform other duties as requested.Skills & Competencies Strong time‑management aptitude.Excellent understanding of local and state traffic laws and regulations.Ability to make quick routing changes.Strong interpersonal skills.Ability to prioritize and multitask.Deep understanding of computer software and technologies.Ability to read, write and speak English.Compensation and Availability Pay Range: $22 to $23.50 per hour.
