This individual will serve as the operational hub between drivers, customers, fuel terminals, maintenance personnel, and company leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and timely fuel deliveries.This is an excellent opportunity for a transportation, trucking, logistics, or dispatch professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems in real time, and takes pride in providing exceptional service to both customers and drivers.Key ResponsibilitiesDispatch & Transportation OperationsCoordinate and dispatch drivers, tractors, and trailers to meet customer delivery requirementsAssign loads based on customer demand, driver availability, equipment availability, and Hours-of-Service complianceMonitor fleet activity and delivery progress throughout each shiftAdjust routes, schedules, and assignments as operational needs changeManage emergency deliveries and priority customer requestsMaintain continuous awareness of driver locations and operational statsLoad Planning & SchedulingBuild and maintain daily and next-day delivery schedulesCoordinate fuel loading schedules with terminals and suppliersReview customer inventory levels and delivery requirementsOptimize driver productivity and equipment utilizationCoordinate second-turn opportunities and maximize fleet efficiencyMonitor and respond to terminal delays and operational disruptionsDriver Support & CommunicationServe as the primary point of contact for drivers during assigned shiftsCommunicate dispatch instructions, route updates, customer requirements, and operational changesAssist drivers with delivery issues, terminal concerns, equipment problems, and scheduling conflictMonitor Hours-of-Service compliance and available drive timeFoster a professional, safety-focused, team-oriented cultureCustomer ServiceCommunicate with customers regarding delivery schedules and service requestsRespond promptly to inquiries and operational concernsCoordinate urgent and after-hours delivery requestsEscalate significant customer issues when appropriateMaintain a high level of professionalism in all interactionsFleet & Maintenance CoordinationMonitor equipment availability and communicate maintenance needsCoordinate repairs, preventative maintenance, and breakdown response with maintenance personnelHelp minimize equipment downtime and service interruptionsMaintain communication between drivers, maintenance, and operations leadershipSafety & ComplianceSupport compliance with DOT, FMCSA, company, and customer requirementsMonitor operational compliance related to Hours-of-Service regulationsPromote safe operating practices throughout the organizationAssist with incident reporting and documentation as neededEnsure dispatch decisions align with company safety standardsQualificationsRequiredExperience in dispatching, transportation, logistics, trucking, fleet operations, or petroleum distributionStrong organizational and multitasking skillExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesStrong decision-making and problem-solving skillsAbility to perform effectively in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and ExcelAbility to remain calm under pressure and manage competing prioritiesPreferredKnowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulationsUnderstanding of Hours-of-Service requirementsExperience with GPS fleet tracking systemExperience using dispatch software or transportation management systems (TMS)Petroleum, tanker, fuel, or bulk transportation experience#J-18808-Ljbffr
