To provide clerical support to school counselor.QualificationsEducation/Certification: High School Diploma or GED; Pass local clerical test.Special Knowledge/Skills: Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills; Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; Ability to use fax machine, copy machine; Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and perform word processing tasks.Minimum Experience: Secretarial experience, preferably in public education.Major ResponsibilitiesNew Student Enrollment – New student intake with parent/guardian, register student, verify residence, and obtain all enrollment documents. Information is entered into SIS (Student Information System) software for accurate PEIMS reporting.New Student Withdrawal – Student exit with parent/guardian, obtain all withdrawal documents, and e‑mail classroom teachers for withdrawal grades. Information is entered into SIS (Student Information System) for accurate PEIMS reporting.Process inbound/outbound requests for student records/transcripts via TREx (Texas Records Exchange) within the 10 working-day established timeline.Maintain current/appropriate documents for all active and inactive cumulative files.File State test results and affix all testing results labels to cumulative files (Example: STAAR).Ensure cumulative folders are organized and ready to pass to next campus.Communicate all student demographic changes to campus and district PEIMS personnel to minimize PEIMS and PID (Pupil Identification) errors.Work with counselors in organizing new student pre‑registration and collecting data for scheduling.Help coordinate any campus‑wide student award/recognition events.Maintain a log of visitors to the counseling office.Schedule meetings and appointments and maintain calendar for counselor.Assist students, teachers, and parents as needed.Provide appropriate clerical support to campus counselor.Attend any/all meetings and training as they pertain to student information system software and/or PEIMS.Maintain confidentiality of information.Attendance is an essential job function.Perform all other duties as assigned.Working ConditionsMaintain emotional control under stress with a high stress and fast‑paced work environment.Work with frequent interruptions.Prolonged use of computer and repetitive hand motions.Moderate standing, stooping, bending, and lifting.#J-18808-Ljbffr
