Chartier, a family owned and operated excavating company with 73+ years of success in the construction industry is looking to hire a full-time, year-round dispatcher for our Webberville, MI location. This position will give you the opportunity to be a part of our exceptional team.Essential Functions, Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics. This list of tasks is illustrative ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class. It does not imply that all positions within the class perform all of the duties listed, nor does it necessarily list all possible duties that may be assigned.Coordinate daily dispatch schedules with customers, managers and fellow dispatchers from our other Divisions (work with all divisions to create collaborative schedules across entire company)Handle continually changing job requests to satisfy customer needsCorrect schedule as changes occur, all day everydayInclude unit # to schedule when movements occur (get numbers from the drivers when they are moving them, pictures are best)Work with project managers on waste profiles, manifests and disposals along with providing proper placard information for drivers hauling wasteAssist in the tracking of Chartier owned property and rental equipmentManage correct locations at all times, track movement as it occurs within same dayAnswer calls, text messages and emails from driver's operators and customers, promptly within reasonAssist in the coordination of emergency jobs from customersProvide drivers with all necessary job information; dispatch sheets, directions, manifests, tickets, contact information, etc.Ensure legal routes are being provided as according to type and weight of vehicle.Enter needed data into computer; GO program, schedule creation and changesAssist accounting staff with proper billing information; correct project numbers, PO's on dispatch sheets and all other attached documentation for accounting purposes.Assist Office Manager with other admin duties and overflow including spreadsheets, onboarding/ offboarding checklists, etc.Complete Miss Dig tickets for upcoming projects; complete annual training as requiredHelp ensure drivers are carrying the required license and endorsements as matched with each jobOn call 24/7 for emergency response callsHandle all necessary paperwork; dispatch sheets, manifests, tickets, PO's, etc.Assist with scheduling and locating dump and disposal sitesAssist with scheduling annual inspections and repairs with shop managerAssist with annual & daily transportation permits, registrations, plates, certificates of insurance as demanded and necessaryKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesMust be proficient with computersExperience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Etc.)Customer service experience is preferredMust be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentMust have excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly relay information to drivers and customers#J-18808-Ljbffr
