Delivery Dispatcher - Windows Department
Position Overview

Direct Lumber and Door is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Delivery Dispatcher to join our Windows Department. This role is responsible for coordinating delivery schedules, routing trucks, and serving as a key liaison between sales teams, drivers, and customers to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily delivery schedules and route trucks efficiently
  • Communicate with sales teams, customers, and drivers to ensure smooth operations
  • Verify next-day deliveries prior to loading and confirm customer approval
  • Inspect and verify all outgoing orders against pick tickets
  • Manage delivery documentation, including required signatures and records
  • Monitor back orders, delivery issues, and damaged materials, and resolve accordingly
  • Assign and adjust driver routes to balance workload and maximize efficiency
  • Maintain driver logs, trip reports, and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and discrepancy reporting
  • Support fleet maintenance scheduling and repairs
  • Address delivery-related concerns, complaints, and service issues
  • Assist in warehouse operations, including loading/unloading when needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
  • Previous dispatch experience preferred
  • Construction or building materials industry experience preferred
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
