Valiant is seeking an individual to serve as a full time External Elements (EXELMS) Intelligence Analyst for the MAGTF Staff Training Program (MSTP), whose mission is to provide training in MAGTF operations across the range of military operations, within the context of a Joint and/or Combined Task Force environment, to improve the warfighting skills of senior commanders and their staff.
Responsibilities
- Research friendly and adversary intelligence forces and assets in order to simulate the capabilities that these forces represent during MSTP conducted or supported exercises.
- Research joint and combined intelligence assets and processes focused on current and future Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Targeting (C5ISRT) capabilities to simulate them during MSTP conducted or support exercises, coupled with all domain understanding on the impact of the kill web and kill chain concepts.
- As part of the exercise design team, lead working groups during various exercise life cycle events to assist in the design of realistic and challenging training environments.
- Collaborate with other MSTP sections and external agencies in the design, development and publication of detailed exercise planning documents and support materials to include realistic, Combined/Joint Task Force (CJTF) and component-level orders, intelligence products, and road to conflict material.
- Prepare exercise presentations, contribute to discussions and provide feedback on joint and/or combined intelligence topics to MSTP staff and attached personnel.
- Research documents and extracts for factual data to realistically portray the composition and actions of military forces/capabilities in a model and/or simulation.
- Assist in reviewing classified and unclassified material; recommend for use in exercises, reports and briefings.
- Collaborate with MSTP Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and Communication and Information Systems (CIS) personnel to develop intelligence assets to include unit composition, capabilities, and locations in related simulation and Command and Control (C2) systems of record.
- Communicate and advise the MSTP Exercise Control Officer (EXCON) on the inclusion and analysis of pertinent intelligence information, products and processes.
- Serve as an intelligence advisor and subject matter expert (SME) to Combined/Joint Higher and Adjacent Headquarters (H&AHQ) personnel and augments on course of action development, concepts of support, or specific intelligence processes and/or missions.
- Oversee the integrity of exercise play through the realistic use of intelligence systems within their established operating parameters (to include weather and threat) and within the commander's guidance and concept of operations.
- Collect and provide analysis of observations during exercises in order to further improve exercise support methodology.
- Assist with the management and maintenance of MSTP-assigned doctrinal publications and pamphlets.
