Job DescriptionInsight Global is currently seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer IV to join a client in the federal cybersecurity and government services industry. This individual will serve as the technical lead responsible for designing, establishing, and operating a Chip-Off Forensics Lab at a government facility supporting incident response efforts. The engineer will lead hardware-level forensic investigations involving network-edge devices and embedded systems where traditional forensic methods are ineffective. Daily responsibilities include performing chip extraction, PCB analysis, memory data recovery, and reverse engineering of proprietary hardware targeted by threat actors. The role also involves developing standard operating procedures, specifying and procuring lab equipment, and documenting forensic methodologies and findings.
