Title: Site Reliability Engineer / Platform Reliability Engineer (Full-Time/Part-Time)RiVidium is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer / Platform Reliability Engineer to support our planned MODES III team supporting Military Community and Family Policy (MC&FP). This role supports IT, Cybersecurity, and Data Operations—Modernization & Innovation and helps deliver mission-focused outcomes for service members, families, and related stakeholders. Ensures PWS C.5.3 operational reliability; maintains privileged system access, implements monitoring automation aligned to RMF controls, and supports ATO sustainment through 24/7 availability engineering, incident response, and performance optimization.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport platform reliability, availability, and operational resilience across supported services.Monitor performance, identify reliability risks, and help improve stability and recovery outcomes.Work with cloud and development teams on observability, automation, and service health improvements.Contribute to performance tuning, incident follow-up, and reliability reporting.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.Relevant experience aligned to the role and labor category; openings may be filled at Senior (10‑15 yrs).Ability to satisfy applicable Government personnel security requirements for the assigned role. For IT and cybersecurity workforce positions, applicable DoD 8140 training and certification requirements will apply upon award.Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills in a mission-focused delivery environment.Hands‑on experience with tools, platforms, or engineering practices relevant to the role.Preferred QualificationsExperience with cloud‑native engineering, application delivery, automation, or reliability engineering, as applicable to the role.Familiarity with secure software delivery, testing, DevSecOps, or performance engineering practices.Experience supporting modernization efforts in regulated or mission‑critical environments.Work SettingThis role is expected to support work in the Alexandria, Virginia area, with on‑site support at the DoD Mark Center or other customer‑approved locations as required.
