A National engineering firm is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join its Austin office. This role offers the opportunity to take on a leadership position while helping to establish and grow a fire protection team within a collaborative and technically driven environment.Position OverviewThe Senior Fire Protection Engineer will lead the design and delivery of fire protection and life safety systems across a variety of project types. This individual will serve as a technical expert while also contributing to the growth and development of the fire protection discipline within the office.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design of fire protection systems including fire alarm, sprinkler, and special hazard systemsPerform and review hydraulic calculations, code analysis, and system layouts in compliance with NFPA, IBC, and local codesManage projects from concept through construction administration including RFIs, submittals, and site coordinationServe as a technical resource for fire and life safety systems including smoke control and code complianceCoordinate with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary engineering teamsMentor and support the development of junior engineers and designersContribute to business growth and support the expansion of fire protection services in the Austin marketPlay a key role in building and developing a fire protection teamQualifications8+ years of experience in fire protection engineering within a consulting environmentLicensed Professional Engineer (PE) required or ability to obtain in TexasStrong experience with fire alarm, sprinkler, and life safety system designIn-depth knowledge of NFPA codes, IBC, and local AHJ requirementsProficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and related design toolsStrong communication and client-facing skillsExperience building or growing a fire protection team is requiredBase salary range: $160,000 – $190,000Performance-based bonusOpportunities for leadership and long-term career growthWhy JoinOpportunity to step into a leadership role with significant impactAbility to help build and shape a growing fire protection practiceCollaborative and team-oriented work environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
