IMMEDIATE HIRING! Aircraft Dispatcher FULL-TIME Opportunity
This is an ON-SITE position
Candidate must reside in Birmingham, AL
External Applicants - Must have FAA Dispatchers License.
Internal Applicants - Without FAA License - Start $47,500/Year.
AirMed will pay for the FAA Training course to obtain FAA License (5 -6 weeks class).
Once FAA Dispatcher license is obtained - Increase to $52,500/year.
We're hiring AirMed Aircraft dispatchers that are responsible for planning and monitoring safe and efficient flight operations. All aspects of trip planning and logistics are created, monitored and disseminated to flight crews by dispatch. AirMed dispatchers are full time employees who hold FAA Aircraft Dispatch Certificates. Aircraft Dispatchers report directly to the Lead Aircraft Dispatcher and the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities:
* Safe, legal and timely planning of all flight legs.
* Considers all legal requirements, such as duty and flight time limitations, in creating the flight plans and itinerary.
* Verifies all available fuel payment options in order to maximize profitability.
* Monitors weather conditions both en route and at each of the planned stops for acceptability as the trips progress.
* Reserves and briefs flight crew on logistical requirements such as airline reservations and hotels on flights requiring more than one flight crew.
* Secures all over flight and operating permissions.
* Supplies all customs documents to crew and coordinates all customs activities with the arriving port officers.
* Checks all trip manifests against the latest TSA eSecure system information.
* Builds the trip flight packets presented to the captains and reviews the details specific to the individual flights.
* Checks performance information for arrivals and departures when high altitude and temperatures may cause limitations.
* Maintain/renew operating permits.
* Process and ensure compliance with all TSA employee and passenger vetting requirements.
* Research international locations as needed.
MinimumRequired Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Skilled in reading and writing English.
* Capacity to communicate clearly on the radio and telephone.
* Ability to record, transmit, and report information accurately.
* Able to efficiently utilize all equipment assigned to him or her.
* Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Possess good typing skills with speed and accuracy necessary to efficiently process emergency and nonemergency calls.
* Ability to understand basic computer applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Aircraft dispatch experience Part 121 or Part 135
* Foreign language skills
* ForeFlight Application experience
