Kansas Permanency Case Management has the job for you! We are looking for a full-time Special Response Specialist to add to our team! A High School diploma or GED and two years of experience in child and family services required. We will teach you the rest!A Day in The Life as a Special Response Team Specialist As a Special Response Specialist, you will collaborate with case teams, the Department for Children and Families (DCF), law enforcement, and other stakeholders in an effort to locate absent youth who are absent from placement. You will be reviewing case files, conducting social media searches, and contacting family members and friends of the youth. You will engage with community partners and attend multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss strategies for locating and supporting these vulnerable youth. You'll complete Human Trafficking assessments when necessary, ensuring that all efforts are trauma‑informed and culturally sensitive. Documenting your findings and maintaining close communication with agencies and families are crucial aspects of your role.What We Are Looking For Passion for investigative work.Compassionate and empathetic for the challenges faced by youth in foster care.Organized and can effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders and has a desire to engage and advocate for at‑risk youth.A self‑starter who is dedicated to serving children and families.Benefits We offer a wide variety of benefits, including flexible scheduling.
