Code Enforcement Officer I - $23.10 per/hour
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual for a temp-to-perm Code Enforcement Officer opportunity with long-term career growth potential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career or has retired in code enforcement and municipal operations.
This role will begin primarily with field inspections, documentation, reporting, and data entry. Initially, there will be minimal interaction with residents or commercial property owners, but the position is expected to grow into a more front-facing role over time.
Position Details:
• $23.10 per/hour
• 30 hours per week
• Monday–Friday schedule
• Flexible hours within the workweek
• Company vehicle provided for field inspections
• ACA Insurance, Retention Bonus & Holiday Pay
Responsibilities Include:
• Conduct inspections of residential and commercial properties
• Document potential zoning and code violations with photographs and detailed notes
• Enter inspection findings into a computerized case management system
• Monitor violations and conduct follow-up inspections
• Coordinate with departments and assist with enforcement processes
• Maintain accurate, real-time case documentation
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of related experience
• Valid Driver's License required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Local government experience preferred
