Dispatcher As a valued member of our team, the Dispatcher will coordinate activities of workers engaged in the transportation and delivery of mixed concrete aggregates by performing the following duties.BenefitsPPO/HMO Health Insurance, Medical, Dental, Vision, LifePTO (Paid Time Off)401k Retirement PlanOvertime PayDirect DepositEmployee Assistance ProgramEssential FunctionsReceive orders for company's deliveries of products such as rock, stone, and sand.Monitor drivers on the tracking screen.Communicate with supervisor and drivers to schedule deliveries according to factors such as truck capacities, distances to delivery sites, and unloading time.Roster dispatch to the trucks.Ensure that all loads are hauled and ticketed promptly and accurately.Record all dispatched calls, deliveries, and pickups in software to maintain record database and track deliveries.Ensure that the ticketing system is functioning properly at all times.Ensure that the tare weights in the system are frequently uploaded as required.Communicate effectively with loading and unloading facilities as needed.Maintain contact with drivers via tablets to expedite deliveries.Assist in the preparation of reports as required.Ensure all transportation laws and regulations are met.Non-Essential DutiesPromote a team approach and maintain dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas.Create and maintain a positive, safe, and effective work environment.Perform other tasks as required.CompetenciesKnowledge of applicable transportation regulations and laws.Great attitude, ability to handle stressful situations.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Able to communicate with others to convey information effectively.Able to meet strict deadlines for deliveries.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. General days and hours of work are Monday through Saturday, hours to be determined. Not eligible for remote work.
