(BUF) Part-Time Ramp Agent

Job Title

United Ground Express is hiring for a position that involves various responsibilities and requires specific qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

The role includes but is not limited to:

• Lifting baggage, boxes, or cargo weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Pushing/pulling loaded and empty carts during operations
• Ascending/descending jet-way stairs while carrying baggage
• Bending/stooping and crawling to move and stack/unstack cargo
• Driving ground equipment to assist with plane operations
• Cleaning aircraft interiors and lavatories
• Reading and interpreting load sheets, baggage tags, and cargo labels
• Prepping and securing the aircraft for the next flight
• Ensuring compliance with United and FAA regulations
• Using radio electronic devices for communication
• Working outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions

Qualifications and Minimum Requirements

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

• At least 18 years old
• Valid state-issued driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Acquire and maintain credentials including fingerprint clearance, local airport badging, and background check
• Successful completion of pre-employment process including drug screen, hearing and vision check
• Available to work any shift; day or night, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be required
• Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and new technologies
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to carry, bend, lift, and turn with bags and other items weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Able to perform a variety of physical activities including ushing, bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spaces
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Must possess and maintain a valid US state driver's license
