- Responsible for 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) monitoring of all life safety, access control, surveillance, emergency switchboard, and supply integrity chain.
- Notify, assist, and direct external emergency personnel and internal emergency response teams as necessary.
- Conducts internal and external incident investigations.
- Execution of Security Programs which include, but are not limited to: Emergency Actions Plans and or Risk and Vulnerability Assessments.
- Perform plant/trailer temperature verifications, food defense inspections and security patrols. Complete necessary reports and documentation that address above situations.
- Conducts Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) and Urine Drug Testing (UDT).
- Assist with the development and implementation of security processes and procedures to improve incident response times, analysis of incident, and overall SOC functions.
- Performs access control and patrol duties in accordance with appropriate regulations to detect and prevent theft, damage, accident, trespass, sabotage and to enforce the security regulations of the plant.
- Verify identification through the use of identification cards, badges, automated records, verbal questioning, and other means.
- Allow entrance to persons and vehicles with authorization. Admit persons, deny entry or arrange for escorts, as appropriate.
- Conducts vehicle searches/inspections to include cargo areas in accordance with standing operating procedures.
- Conducts foot and vehicle patrols of perimeter, roadways, parking lots and other high traffic areas as well the interiors of other buildings and structures.
- Operates two-way communications equipment to summon emergency vehicles and crews when assistance is needed.
- Implements enhanced security in the event of Emergency Action Plan activation such as bomb, fire or other threats.
- Maintains duty journal and prepares written reports to document unusual situations and conditions.
