Class and Grade

This is a Part-Time Position with an hour rate of $16.92.
Position Summary

This position involves performing routine campus security functions, including operating and driving college vehicles such as golf carts, sedans, SUVs, and passenger vans. The role requires frequent walking over considerable distances, climbing stairs, standing or sitting for extended periods on hard pavement or ground, and assisting individuals in need. Security staff must also be capable of lifting and carrying items used in the course of their duties, with a minimum weight of 15 pounds. Assigned responsibilities may vary and include maintaining campus safety, monitoring activity, and enforcing college policies.
Qualifications

Applicants must have graduated from an accredited high school or possess an acceptable equivalent diploma. A valid Florida driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required, along with active State of Florida Class D and G security certifications, which must be maintained. Candidates must successfully pass a background check and employment/reference verification. Physical ability to meet the demands of the role is essential. Applicants must also be willing to establish Florida residency. This position is eligible for Veteran's Preference and is part of an ongoing recruitment process; qualified candidates may be contacted for interviews as needed.
