Description

Key Responsibilities and Duties: Comply with confidentiality regulations regarding all surveillance information including camera coverage, investigations and proprietary materials. Monitor the overall integrity of the video and access control network, server deployment, security and connectivity throughout the LAN infrastructure. Assist in the planning, placement and installation of cameras and support equipment into new or reconfigured gaming facility and/or security areas. Maintains and programs the operating functions of the surveillance and security systems matrix. Repair and/or replace surveillance equipment, including but not limited to cameras, servers, desktop workstations, printers, routers, encoders, switches, archives, storage arrays, access control hardware, and cabling. Handle recommendations and procurement of new hardware, roll out new software installs/patches, install, test, modify and monitor performance of the video and access control networks. Must have the ability to troubleshoot, modify, and understand large video switching systems within a gaming environment. Manage preventive maintenance program to mitigate technical equipment failure related risks. Manage stock inventory of technical equipment and supplies as required to affect timely repairs of replacement of malfunctioning equipment. Manage and assign user accounts, credentials and rights. Assist with the training program of surveillance supervisors and operators. Perform duties as surveillance officer as needed. Role model company guest service program. Other duties assigned.

Qualifications: Associate's degree from a two-year college or accredited technical school in electronics or information technology related field preferred and/or 2 years' experience in surveillance or in security. The ability to obtain certification for the department's current and/or future video management system is required. Ability to obtain a state gaming license is required.

Other: Advanced knowledge of computer networking and programming (Cisco, C++, Visual Basic, etc.) Highly advanced technical skills and knowledge of the following: network address assignment, routing protocols, directory services, schematic diagrams and CCTV systems required. Expert knowledge manipulating data in Microsoft, Access, Excel and SQL database. Must be able to pull heavy communication cable, lift objects, use technician trade equipment and work with low voltage electrical equipment. Remains informed of state gaming rules and regulations and company/ internal controls regarding the required performance of the surveillance department. Stay current on industry trends and technological advances that may affect the present system, department and company needs. Weekends, holidays and swings shifts may be required. Able to lift and carry up to thirty pounds occasionally.
