Job Title Tasks & ResponsibilitiesTriage incoming transport requests from clients via phone and email communicationTransfer the information received from the client into dispatch databaseDevelop logistics plans for individual transports, including ground, commercial air, and charter air transportation, based on client needsEngage and schedule appropriate transportation resourcesDispatch transportation resources via phone, providing clear and concise direction as to assignment detailsMonitor ground and air resources throughout the respective transport, ensuring all points of contact are kept up to date on all relevant movementsMaintain accurate notes and enter transport updates into dispatch databaseBuild rapport with client coordinators, region supervisors, and drivers, exuding a customer first attitudeEmpathize with, evaluate, and escalate client concerns to appropriate members of the management teamJob Requirements & PreferencesHigh school diploma or GEDPrior experience in dispatch, transportation logistics, or medical administrative roles - preferredAvailability to work all shifts, including overnights, weekends, and holidaysKnowledge of computer operations sufficient to enter, retrieve and manipulate dataAbility to speak, read and write in EnglishEffectively prioritizes situations and makes decisions based on the information receivedAble to handle multiple tasks, receiving and communicating information to and from several sources, while ensuring calls for service are dispatched and monitored in a timely mannerPossess a clear and understandable radio and telephone voice
