DCS is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to join the team supporting an Army aviation program office in Huntsville, Alabama. As a Systems Engineer, you will be part of an integrated government team where you will support U.S. Army programs. Essential Job Functions: Supports hardware systems engineering projects on assigned programs with oversight from senior engineers and/or the Government Engineering lead. Assists in systems engineering activities, including requirements analyses, functional analyses, design solutions formulation, systems analysis and control, and generation and maintenance of systems architecture products. Supports the engineering team in applying systems engineering principles and procedures to translate quantified needs/requirements into system performance parameters and the identification of system/item configuration. Assists in formulating systems engineering documents, processes, procedures, and milestones. Supports product design, development, integration, testing, installation, and troubleshooting activities. Assists in translating military operational and mission requirements into practical system concepts and performance specifications. Supports the development and maintenance of technical documentation. Participates in design reviews and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). Assists in reviewing test plans, procedures, and reports for technical adequacy on assigned programs and evaluating system performance against specification requirements. Required Skills: Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, or science and 5 years of experience. Strong written and oral communication skills. Desired Skills: Ability to learn and apply Systems Engineering Management Processes and Implementations to Army aviation crew products.
