Dispatcher The Dispatcher will coordinate, control, and dispatch all levels of service and patient transportation for JHS.ResponsibilitiesReceives calls from JHS employees for patient transportation related services.Calls vendors for the proper units for patients discharges.Ascertains pertinent information from the caller to determine level of service transport for the patient.Investigates service inquiries, incident reports, and customer service related issues.Completes daily, weekly, and monthly reports assigned by MTC manager.Works in Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting purposes.Ensures that all contractual requirements are met successfully.Works with other departments to identify emerging trends.Participates in training sessions for Dispatcher Certification.Assists with development of goals and objectives for the department.Performs other duties as assigned.Demonstrates behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise).Performs all other related job duties as assigned.ExperiencePreferred qualifications include knowledge of medical terminology and prior medical experience, such as work as a medical assistant, EMT, or in a medical office setting.Generally requires 0 to 3 years of related experience.EducationHigh School diploma is required.CredentialsNon-licensed worker.Jackson Health System is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, disability status, age, or any other status protected by law
