The department is responsible for maintaining and operating extensive systems for water collection, treatment, and distribution, serving more than 170,000 residential and business customers, as well as regional partners. Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
- Assist Customer Service Representatives and Customer Service Specialist in accurately and efficiently performing their responsibilities (Floor Support).
- Processes all incoming faxes and mail and attach documents to the accounts.
- Handles and responds to all My Civic cases.
- Handles escalated calls from Customer Services Representatives and Customer Service Specialists, providing expert resolution and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Conducts follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any outstanding issues.
- Processes requests that are submitted back to the contact center via the electronic work queue.
- Collaborates with other departments (Remittance, Billing and Revenue Protection) to ensure efficient customer service operations.
- Handles incoming KUDO's for the Contact Center.
- Assists and covers in the lobby when needed.
- Assists with leading team meetings.
- Communicates daily/weekly/monthly updates in the chat and via email.
- Monitors the incoming customer service phone queue to allocate resources efficiently and organize workflow in the absence of the Call Center Supervisor.
- Works on portal inquiries and move ins and move outs.
- Works as a member of a customer service delivery team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRES:
- High school graduation and 3 years of increasingly responsible secretarial and/or clerical experience
- OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience

For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
