CES is looking for reliable, detail-oriented Law Enforcement/Peace Officers to assist Underage Purchasers in performing non-confrontational compliance checks for the FDA CTP Tobacco Compliance Inspection Program to ensure the sale of tobacco products to Underage Purchasers is restricted. The inspection is used to establish a retailer's compliance with federal regulations. This work is conducted on a part-time, case-volume basis with flexibility relevant to the individual's schedule. Duties/Responsibilities: Travel with an Underage Purchaser; identify and verify site address provided Facilitate and observe undercover buys in coordination with trained Underage Purchasers Collect evidence of violations, such as photographs and tobacco products Complete compliance check inspection forms, detailing any violations, when applicable Required Qualifications/Skills: Must be a current law enforcement official OR employed by the local, county, state government in a health/safety field. Reliable transportation Attention to detail Strict adherence to deadlines and privacy Office Equipment: Smartphone Personal computer/laptop with high speed internet access Ability to complete & scan PDF documents. Other: All Compliance Inspectors will complete a training session Must be able to undergo a security clearance background check and become credentialed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
