MATRIX is seeking an Estimator SME. Duration : 6 months Work : 4/10s Location: Russellville, AR Port Gibson, MS St. Francisville, LA Killona, LA Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Create estimates in WinEst using a common template Work with Project Manager/Team to advance projects to the next estimate level Perform estimate analysis to track evolution and accuracy of project costs Work with cost analyst to build initial forecast in PMM once Class 5 estimate is complete Work with scheduler to build initial schedule in P6 once Class 5 estimate is complete Provide development basis of estimate including assumptions and estimate uncertainty Train Estimators on best practices and WinEst Reviews drawings and technical documents Review schedules and perform material take-offs in order to develop a cost estimate to complete project work Perform primarily office and non-manual work Perform work related to the management or general business operations of MATRIX or its customers/clients, while exercising discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance to MATRIX and its customers/clients Interface with managers or head of a unit/department requiring the integration of multiple functional organizations Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and guidelines: promote health and safety awareness consciousness, and implements all MATRIX health and safety procedures Use “lessons learned” to improve quality of MATRIX's future projects; make recommendations to MATRIX as to the implementations of future policies and procedures Qualifications: 15+ years of experience in power plant operations or equivalent military experience Minimum of 10 years Estimator experience or equivalent military experience required 6 years nuclear experience is required Other Skills and Abilities Required: Strong proficiency in WinEst and P6 Ability to travel between multiple client sites The employee is self-motivated and has a willingness to learn. Has extensive knowledge of nuclear applications. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Able to handle high paced work environment. The ability to communicate well with customers and other MATRIX and customer/client employees. Must be dependable. Must have proficient computer skills.
