Rays Security Guard

Rays Security Guards are uniformed, forward-facing security representatives of a dynamic and diverse organization. They perform the daily security program elements at Tropicana Field and Al Lang Stadium. Rays Guards enhance the guest and employee experience by ensuring a safe and secure environment, patrolling stadium spaces and grounds, controlling access, and reporting issues of concern.

Duties:

• Control access at entry points
• Patrol stadium grounds, buildings and other assigned areas
• Respond to incidents and emergencies following established protocols
• Monitor CCTV and other security technology
• Ensure security program requirements are achieved at your assigned fixed or mobile security post during your shift
• Conduct routine safety and inspections as assigned to identify hazards
• Coordinate with public safety officials when appropriate
• Complete reports, log activities, and other assigned administrative duties
• Assist with operational needs of the stadium and other departments
• Provide courteous and friendly service to all employees and guests
• Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information

• Ability to remain composed while under pressure and de-escalate
• Willingness to enhance a professional work environment with safety and security
• Demonstrated ability to be adaptive and flexible in a constantly changing and dynamic work environment
• Ability to work in a team environment

Physical Demands and Environment:

• This position is an overnight shift (12am - 8am Monday-Sunday)
• This position often requires standing and walking
• This position is generally located both indoors and outdoors
• Stadium events are often noisy and crowded
• This position is year-round, shift work including evening, overnight and weekend shifts
