CRIME SCENE ANALYST

Summary

Evaluates crime scenes and collects and organizes information used in the analysis of crime trends. Prepare detailed reports on the activities at the crime scene and the findings of evidence examinations. Testifies as an expert witness in court regarding the findings of evidence and testifies as expert witness on the findings and processing methods used at the crime scene.OPEN UNTIL FILLED Essential Functions Investigate crime scenes at any hour of the day or night, under any weather conditions; survey crime scene and formulate a plan of procedure.Prepare detailed report of investigations, and maintain records and case files of all evidence and information acquired.Give expert testimony in criminal court.
