Location: Houston, TX AreaEmployment Type: Part-timeReports to: Regional Building OfficialWe are seeking a Code Enforcement Officer to perform field inspections and enforce municipal ordinances on an as-needed basis. This is a part-time position with no guaranteed minimum hours. Work volume may vary based on contract assignments.QualificationsMinimum 2 years of experience in Code EnforcementRegistered Code Enforcement Officer (RCEO) with the State of Texas requiredResponsibilitiesConduct field inspections and investigate complaints to enforce municipal codes related to property maintenance, zoning, signage, environmental concerns, and abandoned/junk vehiclesIssue notices of violation, citations, and stop-work orders; clearly communicate corrective actions to property owners, contractors, and the publicDocument case evidence with photographs, inspection notes, and reports; maintain accurate case files in VertexPlansPrepare and present cases and providing testimony as requiredPrepare and submit weekly timesheet reports to the supervisor in accordance with company proceduresCompensation & Benefits$30-40 per hour & 401(k) with 100% company match up to 5%, available after 90 daysPart-Time - Hours are not guaranteed and will vary based on client needsAbout AokaAoka is a third-party municipal services provider serving federal, state, and local governments with code compliance, inspections, and consulting.
