Berks Career & Technology Center (BCTC) is seeking a dedicated Electrical Occupations Instructor to inspire and prepare the next generation of skilled technicians. The ideal candidate will create a hands-on, engaging learning environment, mentoring students toward graduation, career readiness, and industry success. About Us: BCTC is a premier career and technical education center and school of choice serving high school and adult learners through highly relevant, hands-on programs aligned directly with business and industry needs. Qualifications: Electrical Instructor prepares students with the technical knowledge and hands-on skills needed to install, operate, maintain, and repair residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems. Instruction includes circuit diagrams, electrical codes, blueprint reading, wiring installation, and maintenance of electrical service and distribution systems. Requirements: · Pennsylvania Department of Education certification in Electrical and Power Transmission Installers (CIP 46.0399 – Electrical Occupations 2088), or eligibility to obtain certification · Minimum four (4) years of full-time wage-earning electrical experience beyond training · Strong technical, communication, organization, and classroom management skills · Ability to deliver engaging lab-based instruction and maintain a safe, industry-standard learning environment Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–3:15 p.m. (7¾ hours/day), 10-months (190 days). Includes six evening functions annually and two extended faculty meetings per month. Why Join our team?
