Job DetailsOur staffing agency is seeking a Temporary Dispatcher for one of our valued clients in Lowell, Arkansas. The Temporary Dispatcher will play an important role in coordinating service technicians, maintaining schedules, supporting project operations, and assisting with administrative and billing activities. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and confident communicating with technicians and team members over the phone.
The Temporary Dispatcher will be responsible for dispatching service tickets to available technicians nationwide while ensuring technicians have the necessary information and documentation to successfully complete assigned jobs. The role will also provide administrative and logistical support to the Project Manager and help maintain accurate project records.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain an updated, organized, and fast-paced daily schedule.
- Contact technicians by phone and confidently dispatch them to assigned jobs.
- Dispatch service tickets to available technicians nationwide.
- Provide technicians with all necessary documentation and information for service tickets.
- Track Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor and manage deliverables associated with completed jobs.
- Assist with the creation of BISs for billing purposes.
- Assist the Project Manager with daily operational tasks.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for projects.
- Create and maintain organized project files and documentation.
- Assist with project scheduling and billing activities.
- Communicate professionally with technicians, coworkers, customers, and other business contacts.
- Maintain the company's high standards of quality and professionalism in workmanship, customer relations, communication, behavior, and appearance.
- Follow all required project safety requirements and company policies.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by a supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- College education or degree highly desirable.
- Previous dispatching, scheduling, administrative, customer service, or coordination experience is preferred.
- Comfortable communicating by phone with technicians, coworkers, and other business contacts.
- Highly proficient with computers, email, spreadsheets, databases, and Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong follow-up skills and the ability to keep multiple tasks organized.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and efficiently switch between tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to type at least 40 words per minute.
- Must be dependable, professional, and able to work effectively with limited supervision.
