Summary
Security Officer
Night Shift: 11pm to 7:30am. The schedule includes working a weekend and holiday rotation. A valid NYS driver's license is required.

Enforces security related policies and procedures to provide a safe and secure environment for all employees, visitors, patients and physical properties. Performs other duties as assigned to assist in achieving overall division and hospital goals.
NYS certification as a Security Guard required. High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum of two years security experience highly desirable. College level course work in criminal justice a definite plus, but not required.
BLS/CPR certification and first aid training required. Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.
Ability to diffuse and handle violent physical situations calmly. Excellent interpersonal skills.
Clinical and outdoor setting. Exposure Class I.
Medium work: standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling.
All services, medical staff, patients, visitors, contractors, vendors, various regulatory agencies.
Supervised by: Coordinator of Services. Supervises: None.
Pay Range: $20.20 - $28.00. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
