Summary

Law Enforcement Program Assistant

To assist the primary instructor with practice and testing for students enrolled in the Law Enforcement program.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Idaho POST Certification or equivalent
  • CPR Healthcare Provider Certificate
  • Valid Driver's License
  • A minimum of 3-5 years with a Professional Law Enforcement Agency

SKILLS:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Organized, detail oriented
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

DUTIES:

  • Assist primary instructor to allow students to obtain/learn the skills and knowledge to successfully complete the Law Enforcement program.
  • Supervise and observe students during skills labs.
  • Focus on student instruction.
  • Assist students through observational and participative experiences in skills labs.
  • Collaborate effectively with students and staff within the school district.
  • Communicate appropriate information clearly and in a timely manner.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Salary: To be determined based on experience.
  • Hours: Flexible in accordance with school calendar, and Law Enforcement program class hours.
  • Must pass background and reference checks.
  • If you are chosen for this position your employment with the District would be "at will". Employment at Will means that the employee or the District may terminate the employment relationship with or without cause, and with or without notice, at any time;
