Overview
Salary Range $17.00 - $20.00 Hourly Position Type Full Time
Night Dispatcher
The Night Dispatcher position is in place to provide premium customer service and efficiently resolve the customer's needs in a timely and professional manner.
Mon-Fri 11:00AM-7:30PM. Another responsibility is to backfill the After Hours Dispatch personnel in the event of illness, PTO, Holidays, etc.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Answer the phone to determine the proper course of action up to but not limited to any of the following:
- Dispatch the appropriate delivery truck
- Dispatch the appropriate service technician
- Process a payment for the customer
- Provide the customer with account details
- Document information to be forwarded to the appropriate department for further action
- Document who must be manually let into the facility
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Able to communicate with customers in a friendly and effective manner
- A working knowledge of the propane / oil field service terminologies would be preferred, but will train for understanding
- Organized, punctual, flexible and team player
- Must have proficient computer skills that include good typing abilities and basic understanding of Windows Operating System
- Understanding of basic math as its related to the job
- Flexible to adjust when needed to cover for other team members
Working Conditions/Expectations:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and mobile devices. The noise level in the office is quiet.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Physical Demands:
This is largely a sedentary role. The employee will sit and or stand a majority of their shift, view computer screens, paperwork and filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open cabinets bending or standing, stoop, and pull, or kneel as necessary. The employee must occasionally pull, lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
