Summary
Regulatory Administrator
The Regulatory Administrator is responsible for providing regulatory, immigration, and student support services for M-1 international students enrolled in flight training programs. This role serves as a primary point of contact for students, airline partners, government agencies, and internal stakeholders while ensuring compliance with Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise prospective andcurrent M-1 international students and airline partners regarding admissions, course registration, immigration requirements, employment eligibility, and cultural adjustment resources such as obtaining a driver's license and opening bank accounts.
- Support student onboarding and integration by presenting information during orientation sessions and providing ongoing guidance on maintaining M-1 student status.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support enrollment objectives and promote student success.
- Manage student immigration records, including data entry, Form I-20 issuance, and maintenance of student information within SEVIS.
- Ensure compliance with SEVIS reporting requirements, including registration, no-show reporting, program changes, and program completion reporting.
- Review, maintain, and audit student records to ensure compliance with federal regulations and organizational recordkeeping standards.
- Ensure the accuracy of immigration documentation and student immigration records.
- Develop, coordinate, and support programs, workshops, and resources that enhance the experience and success of international students.
- Serve as the primary TSA liaison and subject matter resource regarding TSA policies, requirements, and compliance activities.
- Process TSA training requests for single-engine and multi-engine training programs, ensuring compliance with Homeland Security regulations, administrative fee requirements, documentation, photo submissions, and training completion tracking.
- Maintain TSA-related records, training center information, instructional materials, and required regulatory documentation within internal systems.
- Prepare for and support TSA audits and regulatory reviews.
- Respond to inquiries regarding visa issuance, Form I-20 documentation, immigration requirements, student status, and regulatory processes from students, clients, airline partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Perform general administrative and office support duties, including telephone coverage, document processing, and other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in customer service, student services, regulatory administration, immigration services, compliance support, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Ability to create and utilize formulas in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with SEVIS, M-1 visa programs, international student services, or immigration-related processes.
- Experience supporting compliance with DHS, TSA, SEVP, or other regulatory requirements.
- Experience in aviation training, flight training, higher education, or another regulated environment.
- Experience delivering orientations, workshops, or student support programs.
- Experience supporting TSA audits, compliance reviews, or regulatory reporting activities.
