Summary

ResponsibilitiesAll School Safety Security Officers will assume responsibility for the safety and well‑being of students, team members, visitors and HMH property. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, patrols, access control, surveillance, dispatching, supervision of students, assistance with crisis interventions—including hands‑on conflict resolution and behavior management. Officers will complete OneLink and incident reports as directed by their leader. They will engage in continuous surveillance, reporting, and documenting all incidents and remain sensitive to the need for delivery of quality guest services and assistance to all persons present at the facilities.Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities RequiredHigh School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.Must be able to stand and walk for a long period of time, 8-12 hrs a day and lift a minimum of 100 lbs., push and pull a minimum of 100 lbs. Ability to ascend/descend 2-10 flight stairs. Ability to handle disorderly and/or abusive patients and visitors. This may include behavioral patients and patients brought into the Emergency Trauma Department under arrest.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.Preferred2 years of college credits.Previous experience as Security Officer or Law Enforcement experience.Previous dispatching experience desired.Licenses and Certifications RequiredPossession of a valid driver's license.Full scale State, County, Federal, and License Check will be conducted every other year.#J-18808-Ljbffr
