Security Officer Part Time Armed Patrol Operations

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. This role offers the opportunity to support a critical environment while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.
Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $28.71 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, supporting controlled entry to sensitive aerospace and defense operations.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrol findings, incidents, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Possess an Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
