Summary

Security Professional Flex Officer

Allied Universal® is now hiring in Philadelphia, PA. Part-time positions are available Monday through Sunday with multiple shifts. The hourly rate is $16.25. Excellent career advancement opportunities are available. Benefits include paid orientation, medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) for full-time employees. Must be 21 years of age or older, have at least one year of security experience, a valid driver's license with a clean driving history, and the ability to work outdoors in the elements and stand or walk for long periods of time.

Responsibilities include performing security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle, watching for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards, sounding alarms or calling police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons, warning violators of rule infractions, permitting authorized persons to enter property and monitoring entrances and exits, observing departing personnel to protect against theft of company property, investigating and preparing reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, aiding customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner, and making emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site post orders.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent or five years of verifiable experience, licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, a valid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle, a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws, a drug screen to the extent permitted by law, reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments, the ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors, demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public, effective oral and written communication skills, active listening and problem-solving skills, the ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively, the ability to mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Preferred qualifications include the ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, and prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.
