Operations Specialist

Summary

Job Duties

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:

1. Provides high-level operational and programmatic support to shift operations and assists in ensuring continuous 24/7 mission coverage.
2. Assists in reviewing the performance of operations center functions, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending adjustments to optimize situational awareness, incident tracking, and coordination workflows.
3. Acts as a senior liaison during routine and emergency operations with PFPA directorates, dispatch and response units, and external agencies to ensure seamless coordination of actions and resource deployment during high-visibility events, exercises, or planned operational activities.
4. Leads efforts to support strategic coordination with external entities, including federal, state, and local stakeholders such as the FBI, U.S. Secret Service, Arlington County, and other mission partners.
