Summary
Snow. Ice. Storms. We Keep Moving. The City of Bangor is currently seeking qualified applicants for temporary snow removal positions at Bangor International Airport. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe removal of snow and ice from airport runways, parking lots and related areas using appropriate heavy equipment such as snowplows, blowers, sweepers and front-end loaders.Responsibilities include working knowledge of the required procedures of working in Air Traffic Controlled areas. Demonstrated ability to safely manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive environment. Candidates must be able to prioritize competing responsibilities, maintain situational awareness, communicate effectively by radio, and make sound decisions while operating equipment and responding to changing airfield conditions.
Applicants must also have the flexibility to respond to airport emergencies on a 24-hour basis and work prolonged hours under adverse weather conditions. These positions will begin 11.16.2026 and are expected to end 4.10.2027. The pay range is $19.94-$26.76 per hour. While employees in this position will accrue Earned Paid Leave, the position is considered non-benefited and is not eligible for other employee benefits.
