We are looking for passionate, hardworking individuals who are committed to our mission of electing Abdul El-Sayed our next U.S. Senator.Role Overview:Digital Fellows will be critical to our general election organizing program. Fellows will work to reach youth voters across the state by creatively promoting Abdul's message on 'Students for Abdul' chapter social media accounts. 'Students for Abdul' chapters will host campus events, expand student coalitions, build student power, and engage in direct voter contact outreach, with the ultimate goal of driving record student voter turnout for Abdul. Digital Fellows will create and record content, manage social media accounts, and form a social media strategy that builds toward the November 3 election.This will be a part-time position. This position offers compensation in the form of a $250 weekly stipend for an average of 15 hours of work each week.Responsibilities:Lead creative concepting and scheduling for video and social media contentDraft and edit video content for social media including Instagram and TikTokCreate graphics and other multimedia contentWherever possible, attend campaign events to capture content and make live postsAssist with organizing campuses and communities through tabling, event staffing, and canvassingWork with students to engage content on various platformsOther campaign needs as requiredQualifications (Required):Commitment to electing Abdul El-Sayed to the U.S. SenateCommitment to thinking creatively about how to build mass student support behind Abdul's campaignCommitment to building a driven and positive community of student fellows and student volunteersStrong graphic design, video editing, writing skills, and attention to detailAbility to learn new skills and take on new challenges, with a desire to learn and a willingness to ask questionsAbility to balance between competing priorities in a fast-paced, demanding environment while maintaining exceptional organization and attention to detailAbility to demonstrate multicultural competence - the awareness, knowledge and skills needed to work with others who are culturally different from self in meaningful, relevant and productive waysPersonal and professional commitment to promoting and investing in cross-cultural skills and awareness related to individuals from broad backgrounds, races, ethnicities, religions, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and disabilityFamiliarity with major social media platformsProficiency with Google Drive and Sheets/ExcelQualifications (Preferred):Previous experience with social media management and student organizingPrevious experience in campaign work/electoral politicsPrevious experience working in MichiganAbdul for Senate is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
