Summary

Head Of Weapons Logistics Support Branch

Duties

  • You will serve as the Head of the Weapons Logistics Support Branch to provide comprehensive Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and life cycle sustainment for Navy undersea weapons.
  • You will supervise a diverse workforce of government logisticians, production controllers, and contractor personnel.
  • You will direct the planning, implementation, and execution of comprehensive life cycle support programs, with a specific focus on torpedoes and associated Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and Undersea Warfare (USW) systems.
  • You will analyze diverse data to determine support requirements and establish the critical link between the support system and the material system.
  • You will formulate policies through workload planning, material forecasting, and improving operational effectiveness.

Requirements Conditions of employment

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Functional Area and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating integrated logistics management for the acquisition of equipment, material, products, goods or services in support of an undersea system or program.
