Responsibilities

  • Patrol hospital buildings, grounds, and parking areas
  • Respond rapidly to emergencies, alarms, and distress calls
  • Enforce state laws and hospital policies to maintain safety
  • Investigate incidents, write detailed reports, and preserve evidence
  • Assist clinical staff with security-related patient situations
  • De-escalate volatile situations using crisis-intervention techniques
  • Monitor access control systems and CCTV surveillance
  • Provide escorts for patients, visitors, and staff as needed
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services
  • Participate in safety drills, training, and continuous readiness
