Job Description
Charleston County Environmental Management is looking for a highly motivated, safety-minded individual who likes working outdoors, assisting members of the general public, providing outstanding customer service and performing a variety of tasks at our convenience centers. This employee's primary site will be at Hollywood Convenience Center.
Hiring hourly range: $15.00 - $16.96
Open until filled application review begins immediately
Duties and Responsibilities
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license for South Carolina with safe driving record
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to thirty-five (35) pounds.
- One (1) year of experience in dealing with the public/Customer Service
- Ability to present a positive attitude when dealing with the residents of Charleston County
- This position requires the employee to reach and push with hands and arms; stand; use hands to handle, feel, grasp or operate objects, tools or controls; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; use mental acuity and repetitive motion; and walk, talk and hear.
- Work a flexible schedule from 7:30am-6pm Mon-Sat
- Ensuring the timely opening and closing of assigned convenience center
- Maintaining convenience center and surrounding areas are clean and free of debris.
Minimum Qualifications
Position requires an 8th grade education OR any equivalent combination of training and work experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
