This position performs essential clerical duties to ensure accurate voter records and the smooth execution of state and federal elections in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Key responsibilities include:Perform general clerical work related to voter registration and election processesGreet and assist the public by providing information on:Voter registration and changes to existing registrationsElection activities and polling locationsAbsentee ballots and voting proceduresProof of residency letters and candidate expenditure reportsRegister voters and accurately enter data into the state voter registration systemAssist with absentee voting, in-person voting, and demonstrate voting machines as neededMaintain and restock voter registration applications and identify appropriate distribution locationsPerform data entry, word processing, and basic spreadsheet preparationEnsure compliance with state and federal election laws, as well as directives from the Electoral Board and Director of ElectionsWork independently under general supervision while maintaining accuracy and confidentialityPerform additional duties as assigned based on departmental needs and workloadQualifications:Must be a registered voterStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent customer service and communication abilitiesAbility to interact professionally with the public in a fast-paced environmentBasic computer skills, including data entry and Microsoft OfficeAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretionPrevious clerical, administrative, or customer service experience preferred
