Security Officer Summary:
We're seeking motivated individuals that are interested in developing a long-term career in the security field. This is for a full time position at City Hall, where strong customer service and interpersonal skills will be essential.

Security Officer Job Responsibilities
The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the facility while providing a high level of customer service to guests, dignitaries, employees, and visitors. Relationship-building skills are key.
- Creating a welcoming environment, recognizing building staff and elected officials, properly greeting officials by title, and assisting visitors with directions.
- Supporting meetings and special events by maintaining a secure environment and assisting with operational needs.
- Conducts hourly security patrols of the parking lot, as well as the interior and exterior areas of the building.
- Conducts bag inspections during official meetings and events in accordance with security procedures.
- Monitors and reports security concerns, suspicious activity, and safety hazards.
- Other responsibilities may apply
- Valid Security Officer Certification/PILB
- Willingness to submit to a background check
- Clean and professional appearance
- Ability to stand up and walk for 12 hours
- Strong communication and decision making skills
- Ex-law enforcement
- Military service
