Summary
Job Responsibilities The Surveillance Technician II reports to the Surveillance Technical Manager and other department Managers with whom an open accurate and reliable line of communication is to be maintained. Responsible for the maintenance, repair, installation, organization and upkeep of all VMS systems/equipment to include but not limited to: (IP cameras, monitors, alarms, CCTV switches, digital encoders, servers, raids, network switches, DVRs, wiring, Security Access Controls programming and troubleshooting.Job Requirements Candidate must be certified in network administration (Networking Degree or CCNA/CCNP certifications) and have five plus years of experience in a networking environment. Must be able to design and maintain LANs, WANS, VLANs, QOS, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls core switching and routing, Previous experience in Surveillance and Security Access Control hardware/software configurations preferred. Responsible for keeping all documentation up to date relating to site maps, maintenance records and surveillance layouts. Ensure surveillance equipment meets Resort World standards and meets or exceeds New York State Gaming Commissions requirements. Document and maintain detailed record relating to all scheduling, coordinate services, repairs, installations, removal of surveillance equipment and preventative maintenance. Provide 24 hour emergency response to perform or facilitate emergency equipment repairs. Develop and conduct training of Surveillance staff on the use of technical surveillance equipment. Provide technical assistance to other departments to install covert video and audio surveillance equipment. Catalog and inventory all surveillance technical equipment. 20/20 vision/corrective lenses, ability to distinguish colors, shapes and difference in size. Will be trained to be able to stand in and perform Observer duties when needed so as to maintain the minimum staff requirements per the NYSGC Regulations. Must have ability to communicate in English both orally and written. Work/Educational Experience Must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school or equivalent diploma and have the ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the New York State Lottery regulations. Networking Degree or CCNA/CCNP certifications Five (5) years of experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of technical surveillance equipment. Knowledge of working with CCTV system to include cameras, monitors and recording devices.
