See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:Freedom Boat Club is currently looking to add a Marine Repair Technician to our team. We're looking for an experienced, self-directed Marine Tech with strong mechanical aptitude and a problem-solving mindset to join our Marine Operating Center. In this hands-on role, you'll manage the repair process, from inspection and diagnosis through repair, testing, and final documentation, ensuring each boat is completed with accuracy and efficiency.If you take pride in hands-on work, enjoy solving problems, and value both ownership and teamwork, this is a great opportunity to grow your career in the marine industry!Essential Functions:Perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and component replacements on boats, including outboard, sterndrive, and inboard engines, as well as electrical and mechanical vessel systems.Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and performance issues using technical expertise, diagnostic tools, and manufacturer-specific systems.Communicate proactively with our parts and inventory team and/or supervisors regarding repair progress, additional parts or labor needs, technical assistance, and completion readiness for work orders.Review work orders and vessel specifications to identify failure points, confirm root causes, and define required repairs or system corrections using technician notes and standard documentation.Execute repairs efficiently in the field, ensuring work is completed to manufacturer standards and operational performance is fully restored.Ensure vessels are returned in clean, customer-ready condition following repair work, including removal of service-related marks or debris.Maintain a safe, organized, and mobile-ready work environment, adhering to all safety protocols while working across varying locations.Provide cross-functional support as needed, including assisting with vessel movement or supporting repair-related administrative or parts coordination activities.Participate in required training, team meetings, and communications to stay current on repair techniques, product updates, and operational expectations.Perform additional repair-focused or field service duties as assigned to support operational success.Anything else needed or asked upon.Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentValid driver's licenseAt least 21 years of agePassing a pre-employment background and drug screeningThorough understanding of marine engines and tools being usedDemonstrated experience with servicing marine engines, with Mercury or other relevant marine engine certification.Must have knowledge of 12v electrical, rigging, and outboard diagnosticsAbility to maneuver a boat and a trailerStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility and willingness to wear personal protective equipmentAbility to read and manipulate handheld tabletsPositive, cooperative attitude with the capability of working unsupervisedPreferred Qualifications:Experience driving vehicles with boat trailers and launching and retrieving vessels in and out of the waterExperience driving, maneuvering, and docking vesselsBoating safety ID cardTravel Requirements:This position requires daily travel to and from club locations.Working Conditions:Prolonged periods driving to dock locationsProlonged periods standing, crouching, bending, climbing, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling in order to perform jobMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a timeThe anticipated pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role.
