This role is responsible for patrolling assigned areas, responding to calls for service, and enforcing local, state, and federal laws to protect public safety. Daily activities include conducting traffic stops, performing preliminary and follow-up criminal investigations, securing and documenting evidence, and preparing detailed incident reports. Police Officers interact with community members, provide assistance during emergencies, and collaborate with other law enforcement and public safety agencies. The position may require shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as participation in ongoing training and community outreach
Ability to handle, preserve, and document Evidence in accordance with legal standards.
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in criminal justice or related field preferred.
Completion of accredited police academy training and eligibility for state law enforcement certification, as required.
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record and ability to meet physical and fitness standards of the role.
Effective communication, problem-solving, and de-escalation skills, with a commitment to ethical conduct and unbiased service.
Ability to work in high-pressure situations, make sound decisions, and collaborate within a diverse team and community.
