Summary
Overview VTG is seeking a Planner / Scheduler to support our Fleet Modernization programs in Virginia Beach, VA. What will you do? * Review installation drawings, technical documentation, work packages, and other panning information to identify required activities, sequencing, dependencies, milestones, and resource requirements. * Work directly with Project Managers and deck plate leads to develop detailed, executable installation schedules that accurately reflect how the work will be performed. * Responsible for producing, baselining and maintaining resource-loaded POA&Ms following Task Order award and incorporating customer-directed Task Order modifications. * Communicate activity lists, schedule requirements, milestones, and dependencies to the Project Team, Resource Team, and Project Coordinators for execution. * Incorporate additional approved tasks into the master POA&M using estimating and technical inputs to establish cost, duration, and sequencing, and schedule relationships. * Reschedule and re-sequence disrupted activities, including evaluating re-establishing predecessor/successor relationships and downstream schedule impacts. * Identify emerging schedule conflicts, critical-path, impacts, and opportunities to recover or improve schedule performance and communicate them to the Project Manager. * Develop and maintain project schedules in Microsoft Project as the program of record and accurately enter or maintain required schedule information in other project-management and customer systems. * Perform other duties as assigned. Do you have what it takes? * Strong working knowledge of AIT shipboard installation and modernization processes and waterfront execution * Familiarity with shipboard systems and installation requirements across both surface ships and submarines. * Ability to read and interpret installation drawings, technical documentation, and work packages and translate requirements into executable schedule activities, sequencing, and dependencies. * High School Diploma / GED Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $50,000 - $60,000/Annually which is a general guideline for the geographic location.
