The is a temporary position working full-time or part-time hours.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • The successful Intern will be able to transition efficiently from one project to the next and be flexible with regards to coordination of equipment and personnel across tasks.
  • Lab work on benthic infauna samples (sorting and identification, QA/QC tasks, data entry, maintenance of chain of custody for received samples, laboratory equipment inventory)
  • Organize benthic invertebrate data in Microsoft Excel
  • Data management tasks
  • Ship sorted laboratory samples to Taxonomists
  • Organize archived laboratory samples
  • Additional tasks as assigned, in support of laboratory success and efficiency
  • All responsibilities done in partnership with, and under the direction of, Laboratory Manager

Qualified candidates will hold, or be in pursuit of, a Bachelor's Degree in a science related field, with Junior level standing, or higher.

Marine Taxonomic Services, Ltd. provides an exceptional opportunity to learn through practical experience, expert supervision, and on-job training.

Schedule:
  • 8-hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Pay: $15.00 per hour
