Summary

Perform reconnaissance on mature timber stands and identify potential harvest units.Determine harvest boundaries in accordance with the Quinault Indian Reservation1s Forest Management Plan, including the identification of required Riparian Management Zones, Wetland Management Zones and other protection measures.Supervises 1-2 forestry technicians or directs contractors in unit preparationIdentify operational requirements for harvesting, including recommended yarding systems, road developments and stream crossings.Design and implement timber cruises.Perform stumpage appraisals.Develop draft contracts, prospectuses, maps, and other timber sale-related documents.Communicate management objectives to Trust landowners and Tribal officials, drafts official correspondence.Provide input to all forest management activities as a member of the QDNR Interdisciplinary Team.#J-18808-Ljbffr
